Ironton man killed in weekend stabbing

Authorities are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place over the Labor Day weekend when two men got into an argument sometime late Sunday night into early Monday morning.

Iron County Sheriff Rodger Medley said the incident occurred in a house off Route N in Iron County when it is alleged that David Aaron Crocker, 40, of Ironton, began assaulting the homeowner.

“It appears that (the homeowner) was able to grab a knife and stabbed Crocker, killing him,” said Medley. “The Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Unit is investigating the incident along with our department.”

According to Medley, no charges have been filed at this time.
