School board meets tonight

The Central Board of Education will meet tonight at 5:30 p.m. for a regular session in the basement of the administrative offices located at 200 High St. in Park Hills.

Included on the agenda will be approval of routine consent agenda items including the payment of bills, approval of substitute teachers and the approval of a number of staff appointments.

Board members will also recognize the achievements of several high school students.

Each school principal will give a report on the beginning of the school year and Assistant Superintendent Troy Bollinger will give a report on summer school. Professional development and the district’s curriculum will also be discussed.

In new business, board members will consider the budget for fiscal year 2017, bond refinancing options and a bus purchase grant.

The meeting is open to the public.
