Grief support group meets
All are welcome to a Grief and Bereavement Support Group as we consider grief – the expectations of grieving contrasted with the reality of living with grief on a daily basis.
Individuals aged 20 and over who have suffered the loss of a spouse, parent, sibling or loved one are welcome.
The group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. beginning Oct. 13 and continues monthly on the second Thursday of the month at the BJC Parkland Hospice Office, located at 757 Weber Rd. (across the parking lot from the Farmington Family Fun Center)
The support group is led by a BJC Hospice chaplain and social worker who will talk through the expectations of grief versus the reality of grieving and provide a sense of community, empathy, support and comfort in a safe environment.
The group is led by Allan Harmening, MDiv, BJC Parkland Hospice chaplain and Michelle Bryant, BSW, BJC Parkland Hospice social worker
