Softball Cats hold ‘Pink Out,’ Senior Nights

The Lady Cats Softball team completed its final week of regular season play, last week. The Lady Cats had their “Pink Out” Night for Breast Cancer Awareness, Tuesday, when they hosted Ste. Genevieve.

Thursday, the Cats played their final home game of the season and they recognized their six seniors in their final home game of their high school careers.

Tuesday, (Sept. 20), the Lady Cats lost to 19-8 to Ste. Genevieve. They won 3-2, at St. Pius, Wednesday. Thursday, they lost to Farmington, 14-4.

The team took third place in the Potosi Tournament, Saturday. The Lady Cats won one of four games in the tournament according to Coach Joaby Sikes.

The Lady Cats participated in the MAAA Tournament this week. They lost 14-10 to Ste. Genevieve, Monday and played Potosi, Tuesday (after press time).

They play in the Class 3, district 1 tournament, Oct. 5-8, at Cape Central.
