Melba Lucille Marler
FARMINGTON – On October 27, 2016, Melba Lucille Wheeler Marler, 86, of Farmington, received her angel wings and is present with the Lord. She was born June 3, 1930, to the late Marvin Miller and Nora Irene (Winebarger) Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Wheeler and a son David Wheeler.
Melba had an independent nature and was known to be a hard worker. She was an accomplished seamstress who also enjoyed cooking and gardening. The devoted mother of two with a strong faith belonged to the First Baptist Church of Farmington.
Survivors include her son, Terry (Theresa) Wheeler of Belvedere, IL; sisters, Neomia Humphrey of California, MO, Dorothy (Audrey) Bowen of Desloge, Della (Ivan) Tucker of Branson, MO, and Joyce (Don) Alexander of Farmington; a brother, Robert (Vivian) Miller of Jackson, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Also surviving is William Marler who was her husband of ten years.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Dr. Bill Miller officiating. Interment will be held immediately after the services at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington.
