Assessor elected to president of state association

St. Francois County Assessor Dan Ward was elected president of the Missouri State Assessors Association at their annual conference on Oct. 6 and will take the position beginning Jan. 1.

Ward has been part of the MSAA Executive Board for the past three years and has been actively involved with decisions concerning assessors across the State of Missouri.

He has also worked with many legislators, including local senators and representatives trying to keep good legislation moving forward and stopping bad legislation that would cut funding to education and raise taxes on home owners and small businesses.

“I am humbled that the assessors, from 113 other counties and the City of St. Louis, would place their trust in me as their association president,” said Ward.
