Filing continues for April election

Filing continues for the April 4 General Municipal Election.

The last day of filing will be Jan. 17.

In the City of Fredericktown, there will be an election of one alderman in each of Ward I, Ward II, and Ward III. Incumbents Paul Brown in Ward I, Rick Polete in Ward II, and Loretta Brown in Ward III have all filed.

In Marquand, voters will elect one alderman in each of the city’s two wards. Bobby G. Roe has filed for Ward Two Alderman. No one has filed for Ward I Alderman. 

The Fredericktown R-I School District has three positions on its board in this election. Four candidates have filed. They are Incumbent Angela Souden, Incumbent Eddie Shankle, Brandon Greene, and Incumbent Patrick Martin.

For the Marquand-Zion R-VI School Board, there are three positions up for election. Lester Wilfong and Patrick Whitener have filed.

For the Madison Medical Center Board of Trustees, there is one spot to be decided in the April election. Connie Matthews has filed. For the Madison County Health Department, three trustees will be elected. Three have filed. They are Joalyn McKenney, Katherine Stearley, and Sue Alley.

Incumbent Henry Vincent filed for District Two (Marquand Precinct) on the Ambulance District Board of Directors.
