MAC Continuing Education Offers Professional Development and Personal Enrichment Classes

PARK HILLS – Mineral Area College Continuing Education will offer a variety of non-credit classes to the community throughout the winter and spring. The diverse offerings mean community members can learn career exploration, gardening, nutrition, photography, home buying, dog obedience, fly fishing, outdoor survival skills, finance, cake decoration, ballroom dancing, Microsoft Suite and more to jump start the New Year with new skills.

Of the 27 classes offered at the campus this semester, 12 are new. New classes include: Becoming an Airbnb Host; Enrolling In and Paying for College; Home Buying 101; Eating Healthy and Staying Healthy; Vegetable Gardening; Intro to Photoshop CS6; Basic Gardening Series; Career Exploration; Basic Car Maintenance for Teens; Degree Plans and Course Transferability; Finance 101 and Financial Reports/Tools for Business Decisions.

Continuing education courses are not eligible for college credit, and they range in length from one night to six weeks. Most classes range from $35 to $60, depending on the number of times the course meets.
