Gavin Matthew Kerr

ST. LOUIS – Gavin Matthew Kerr, of Farmington, our beloved angel, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 5 years. He was born in St. Louis on July 27, 2011, the second of three children born to Glenn Michael Kerr and Margaret Erikka (Baker) Kerr.

Gavin was a student at the Truman Learning Center in Farmington. He was a sweet little boy who enjoyed all sports, especially soccer and football. He also loved super heroes, Captain American and Batman were favorites. He also loved visits to the beach with his family and spending time with his brothers. Though his death was tragic, in his death Gavin was able to give the gift of life to other children across the country by becoming a Donor of Life…..a true Super Hero.

Gavin will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him including his parents, Glenn and Erikka Kerr of Farmington; big-brother, Ethan and little-brother, Ryder Kerr; grandparents, Cindy and Billy Robertson of Jackson, Mississippi, and Margaret Elaine Baker of Farmington; great-grandparents, Richard and Midge Pitts of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Gavin’s family will hold a memorial gathering from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Rocky Good officiating. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials be made to the National Epilepsy Foundation.
