Local Miracle-Ear offices raise funds

Southeast Missouri has five Miracle-Ear offices which raised more than $1,000 for the Miracle-Ear Foundation.

The Miracle-Ear Foundation is a national non-profit organization designed to donate hearing aids to children and adults nationwide that have a significant hearing loss and are in financial need. Each local Miracle-Ear office partnered with My Daddy’s Cheesecake to raise funds for the Miracle-Ear Foundation and sold more than 125 cheesecakes. Additionally, staff from each of the five local offices fundraised dinners at local restaurants.

The Miracle-Ear Gift of Sound program provides hearing aids and hearing support services to families or individuals who are unable to afford quality hearing instruments. You may qualify for assistance through the Miracle-Ear Foundation if you have an untreated hearing loss and meet income guidelines. Children always receive services at no charge. You can apply to the Gift of Sound program at your local Miracle-Ear office. Southeast Missouri has five locations in Poplar Bluff, Sikeston, Cape Girardeau, Perryville and Farmington.

The Miracle-Ear Foundation can proudly report that they have fit or provided services for 1,359 adults and children last year, and giving nearly 2,700 hearing aids. In addition, nearly 150,000 ear plugs were distributed in communities nationwide and 370 hearing aids to put back in the pool of available resources for the Gift of Sound.
