Quest Club meets at Historical Society

The February Quest Club Meeting was held at the Madison County Historical Society.

President Joan Whitener called the meeting to order. After the Pledge to the flag Joan introduced County Commissioner Bob Mooney (whom most of our members already knew) who was to present our program. The program Bob presented was very informative. He brought us up-to-date on what was happening, and ongoing projects such as the new ambulance facility, a new bridge, etc.

He explained funding, grants, and explained how “TIF” worked. We also discussed the needs regarding the Courthouse, and complying with current State and Federal regulations. Bob also told us about the “Davis-Bacon Act’ which we found interesting. We appreciated Bob taking the time to meet with us and answering our questions. Our regular meeting was conducting with discussions on several issues. A meal was served and enjoyed by all.
