Community announces July 4 plans

The city of Farmington will host the annual fireworks display at Engler Park on July 4.

The park is located one half mile east of U.S. Highway 67 on Perrine Road. The 30-minute display will start at approximately 9:15 p.m. that evening.

Before the show, complimentary watermelon and ice cold lemonade will be served starting at 7 p.m. near the Braxton/Hall Pavilion.

There will be a change in the parking this year, with the fields along Air Park Drive near the entrance to the park not available for visitors.

Instead, parking will be on the two practice soccer fields in Engler Park, as well as the parking lots for the Ragsdale Ball Field, Floyd Hager Tennis Complex, Giessing Lake lot and a field with a view of the fireworks show at the corner of Korber Road and Perrine Road.

Handicap accessible parking is available in the front lot of Engler Park.

For a map of the parking lots, visit the Farmington Parks and Recreation Department’s Facebook page at “Farmington Missouri Parks and Recreation.”
