Boomer Reunion Concert will hit ‘The Jackpot’

With what has been billed as the best concert of the year for the last 15 years, the Baby Boomer Reunion Concert will return to the Centene Center for three shows.

For two nights and three performances, Aug. 4-5, Dr. Kevin White and his talented band of musicians and singers will host an evening of song sure to bring back memories of high school dances, sleep overs and cruising the strip.

“The name of the show this year is “The Jackpot Concert,” White said. “Each song we perform during the show will represent everything from 1957, 1967 and 1977.”

Once again, White and his performers will offer three shows beginning on Aug. 4 at 7 p.m., a matinee on Aug. 5 at 1 p.m. and an evening show at 7 p.m.

Tickets for each of the three performances go on sale at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the front desk of the Farmington Civic Center. Tickets purchased by phone will begin at 11 a.m. that day. The cost of a reserved seat ticket is $12.

According to the White, the show will have 20 songs and one medley at the end of the performance instead of an encore.

“We will have a longer first half, and intermission and then a shorter second half with the medley at the end of the show,” White said. “The medley features one minute of 30 different songs. For the last four years, we have ended the show with the medley and everyone seems to really like it. It also allows us to work in a few more songs that fit our theme.”

For the last 15 years, White has stuck with same format, only using songs from 1955, when the industry first started the pop charts, to 1984.
