Police still seek Gray

A man who eluded police after a Saturday pursuit in Desloge is still at large, according to Desloge Police Chief James Bullock.

According to police, Michael Gray was wanted for absconding parole when officers attempted to stop his vehicle Saturday morning, prompting Gray to flee before crashing his vehicle on a gravel road near Bone Hole, just off Landfill Road in Desloge.

Gray fled on foot from the scene of the crash and has not been apprehended. A passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody. She exited the vehicle prior to the wreck and attempted to flee from police. She has since been released from police custody, pending the filing of formal charges.

After Gray’s evasion of authorities, a post was made on his Facebook profile Sunday night, in which he took to task what he termed “gossip whores” who have been publicly commenting on his run-in with the law, adding, “I love my name on y’alls lips!!how else was i gonna b famous …. 6 o clock news …”

If you have information about the whereabouts of Gray, dial 911 or contact the Desloge Police Department at 573-431-1463.
