Gloria Barron
PARK HILLS – Gloria Kathryn (Cubby) Barron, 79, of Park Hills, passed away September 6th, in Festus, Missouri. Gloria was born on December 15, 1937, to Lorene and Harold Lawson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lorene; two husbands, Paul Tedder and Wyman Barron; two children, Brenda Morris and Paul (Bo) Tedder; one sister, Linda (Festal) Prather; one brother, Joseph (Virginia) Lawson; and sister in law, Patsy Lawson.
Gloria was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She retired from Flat River Glass Company, where she worked for more than 20 years. She had a big heart and was a strong, caring woman who offered a loving touch or a crying shoulder for anyone that she knew. She knew a lot of heartache in her life, but would gladly put aside her own troubles to help others without a second thought. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed spending her time working in the yard with her flowers and going to yard sales. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and loved going to Graceland, as she had been many times. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
She is survived by sisters, Barbara (Roger) Wilcut, Peggy (Cary) Kohut, and Violet Weir; brothers, Mike (Sandy) Lawson, Stanley (Betty) Lawson, Jim Lawson, and Terry (Regina) Lawson, and Bob Lawson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Monday September 11, 2017, after 9:30 a.m. to service time at 1 p.m. at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home. Burial at Adams Cemetery, Frankclay, Missouri. Arrangements by Horton-Wampler Funeral Home.
