Area man injured in accident

One person was injured following a crash in Farmington on Saturday.

Farmington Police Chief Rick Baker said the department responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Saturday on Karsch Boulevard near North A Street.

The accident report states a 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by Ashley N. Eiskant, 31, of Farmington was in eastbound turn lane, attempting to make a left turn onto the Auto Spa Car Wash parking lot. The vehicle struck a 1987 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle, driven by Lonnie Medley, 56, of Farmington, traveling westbound lanes.

Medley received serious injuries and was flown from the scene to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis by helicopter. Eiskant was not injured.
