Area teen seriously injured
A Potosi teen was seriously injured in a crash on Highway 185 in Washington County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 4:28 p.m. Casey Thompson, 16, was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger north on the highway near Black Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road. Thompson over-corrected, causing the vehicle to overturn, ejecting him. Thompson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital by Air Evac.
Christopher J. Blaser, 16, received minor injuries and was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital while John K. Miller, 18, who was reportedly wearing a seat belt, did not receive injuries.
