Four injured in Iron Co. wreck

A Wednesday evening vehicle crash in Iron County sent three people to the hospital, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report states that Daniel Yates, 68, of Belleview, was driving east on Route U five miles north of Pilot Knob at 5:27 p.m. when the accident took place.

Yates’ 2006 Chevrolet Malibu struck an unoccupied 1997 Ford F-350 that was stationary in the roadway, which then struck two pedestrians, Jack Gilmore, 15, and Larry Gilmore, 66, both of Ironton.

The report lists that Yates, the two pedestrians and a passenger in Yates’ vehicle, David Pulley, 32, of Ironton all received minor injuries in the incident. The pedestrians and the passenger in the vehicle were all transported to Iron County Medical Center via ambulance while Yates was not.

The damage for both vehicles is described as totaled.
