Two city boards meet today
The Park Hills City Council and the Leadington Board of Aldermen will hold meetings today.
The Park Hills City Council will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, located at 9 Bennett Street to consider ordinances.
After hearing the city administrator’s report and mayoral discussion, the council will consider an ordinance amending the municipal code pertaining to planning and zoning fees and public hearings.
In new business, the council will consider an ordinance changing restricted parking at 310 West Main Street.
The council will also consider an ordinance imposing a use tax for general revenue to be considered in the April election.
The council will consider bids for operation of concession stand for the 2018-2019 season and a request from Bryan Wallen of the Central School District to use city streets for a 5k fundraiser in February.
The council will set a public hearing for a special use permit related to the construction of a two-family duplex at 700 Dix Street.
The Leadington Board of Aldermen will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. in the municipal building at 12 Weir St.
According to the tentative agenda, in old business the board will be opening bids for the city hall furnace; hear from SEMO Regional Planning Commission Director Leslie Seabaugh; consider bills adopting TIF within RPA 1, 2 and 3; and the Henderson Street property.
In new business, the board will discuss a fire truck, the chamber installation banquet and the April election. Ordinances to be considered include one adopting and enacting a new Chapter 210 offenses and amending mayor/alderman salary.
The meeting is open to the public.
