Chamber CEO/President resigns

The Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce will be on the search for a new CEO/president.

On Tuesday, the chamber released a statement saying the board accepted the letter of resignation from Dick Womack. The resignation is effective immediately.

Phil Brockland, chairman of the board for the chamber, said the search for a new CEO/president will begin soon.

Womack began serving as president/CEO of the organization on Nov. 2, 2015 after serving as general manager of KTJJ/KREI/KJFF radio stations for a number of years.

“Over the past two years as CEO/president of the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce, Womack provided leadership and made significant accomplishments in strengthening relationships with Chamber partners and local officials,” the release reads.

Brockland echoed that sentiment on Tuesday afternoon following the announcement.

“We thank Dick for his years of service to the chamber,” Brockland said. “We will be conducting a search (for a new CEO/president) and figuring out how to fill in the gaps. We are confident in the staff remaining — Laura Raymer and Candy Zarcone — and confident the chamber will continue to function as it should until a new CEO/president is named.”
