Four ‘pound pups,’ seven cats need loving homes

A dog at the Park Hills Pound; and three dogs and seven cats at the Farmington Pound are seeking their owners or new homes where they can be loved and cared for.

Male Boxer mix is 2-3 years old. The officer describes him as a very sweet and friendly boy.

Farmington Pound

Male dog is 3-4 years old. He is very friendly and great with other dogs.

Female puppy is approximately 9 months old. This beautiful pup has some very unique eyes — one blue and the other green.

Male puppy is approximately 6 months old.

Female calico cat is named “Layla.” She is a young adult, friendly and may be pregnant.

Male orange and white cat is named “Drew.” He’s a young adult and friendly.

Female white with orange cat is named “Emily.” A young adult, she is scared but friendly.

Male orange cat is named “Kevin.” He’s a friendly young adult.

Male long-haired orange cat is named “Nathan.” He has one sunken eye and is scared but can be petted.

Female white and black cat is named “Donna.” She is 6-9 months old and scared.

Female tortoiseshell cat is named “Lisa.” She is scared and may be pregnant.

To give owners the opportunity to claim them, dogs and cats are kept for seven days at the Park Hills and Farmington pounds; and five days at the Desloge and Leadwood pounds. After that, they are eligible for adoption or euthanasia. There are no adoption fees, but rescuers are required by the Missouri Department of Agriculture to sign a spay / neuter / vaccination commitment.
