Star Service Team Members announced

Stephanie Johnson has been selected as the Parkland Health Center ICARE Star Service Team Member for February 2018.

Johnson is a patient access representative and has worked at Parkland Health Center for three years.

Excerpts from her nomination read, “Our February ICARE employee of the month goes above and beyond to help her co-workers, from staying late, coming in early, or picking up extra shifts. She does it all with a smile. She is kind-hearted and compassionate to everyone she meets. Her sweet, energetic personality will bring a smile to your face on days you do not feel like smiling. She is a joy to be around.”

Teresa Stricklin, RN, was selected as the ICARE Star Service Employee for January 2018.

Stricklin is a nurse in the intensive care unit and has worked at Parkland Health Center and Mineral Area Regional Medical Center for a combined total of 23 years.

Excerpts from the nomination read, “She is compassionate to every patient that comes through the doors. She is always smiling and projects a positive attitude that adds to the department. She is very helpful to her co-workers and is always willing to assist most times when not even asked. She is dependable and can always be counted on. Patients love her when she is their caregiver. She has that extra touch that so many that are sick need.”

Kim Jackson was selected as the ICARE Star Service Employee for December 2017.

Jackson is a respiratory therapist and has worked at Parkland Health Center for 25 years.

Excerpts from the nomination read, “The star service employee for December is always willing to do what is necessary to take care of our patients in both respiratory and HBO (hyperbaric oxygen therapy). She always has a positive attitude and makes everyone smile. She has proven to be highly attentive to our patients and is truly dedicated to her job and PHC. She is an excellent therapist, co-worker, team member and friend to many.”

ICARE is Parkland’s patient experience service initiative and the acronym stands for the following values; Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
