Pauline J. Halley

Pauline J. Halley, 90, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at her home in Alton, Illinois. She was born December 11, 1927 in Jewett, the daughter of Clifford and Louvinia (Pinkley) Jackson.

She married James Halley in April 1978. He preceded her in death in April of 1995.

Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Halley was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.

Surviving are daughters Carol Work of Augusta, Missouri and Beverly Diepenbrock of Alton as well as four step children; grandchildren Gary Diepenbrock of Bethalto, Illinois, Brian Tentschert of O’Fallon, Missouri, Bethany Bland of Imperial, Bruce Tentschert of O’Fallon, Karen Diepenbrock of Bethalto, and Scott Tentschert of Wentzville; five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, March 12, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with the reverend Andre’ Dobson officiating. Burial was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
