The Board discussed a recent “phone spoofing” problem that people in the community need to be aware of. The hospital’s phone number is being used by an unknown person or entity appearing to be a credit card company. The hospital’s name and number will show on the person’s caller ID; however, the call is not actually made by the hospital and has no association with the hospital. The fake caller normally wants to try to sell a credit card offer.

A hot water heater was replaced recently in the nursing home mechanical room.

After reviewing the Annual Salary Cap Evaluation report, the Board voted to retain the current 3 percent cap.

The Board approved an Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Statement of Leadership Commitment for MMC.

The Board voted to implement a random drug screening policy for the facility.

The Missouri Hospital Association’s 2018 Leadership Forum will be May 17 – 18, 2018 at the Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Missouri. This is an educational program for executive leaders and trustees from hospitals and health systems throughout the state.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees will be April 11, at 9:30 a.m. in the Dr. Slaughter Memorial Building.
