One injured in crash

A Park Hills man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Monday at 1:45 a.m. off Pimville Road in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, David L. Easter, 31, of Park Hills, was driving his 2012 Honda Civic westbound on Pimville Road just east of Highway 32 when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Easter was ejected and the vehicle caught fire.

Easter was not wearing his seat belt and was airlifted by Air Evac to Barnes Jewish hospital with serious injuries.

Easter is being charged by the patrol with suspicion of driving while intoxicated/persistent offender.

In an unrelated crash Friday night at 9 p.m. in Washington County, one man was injured in a one-vehicle crash.

According to the patrol report, Michael Large, 44, of Cadet, was driving his 2005 Ford F150 southbound on Route E at Hinch Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. The truck went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Large was wearing his seat belt and was taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by Washington County Ambulance with moderate injuries.
