UPDATE: The two teens have been located out of state.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Farmington Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of two teen boys who ran away from the children’s home in Farmington Monday at approximately 10 p.m.
Farmington Police Lt. Chris Bullock said it’s not unusual to have youth run away from the children’s home at times. He said they don’t suspect any foul play at this time. He said they just ran off.
“Jack S. Burgio, 14, and James Warren, 13, apparently slipped out the bathroom window to avoid detection,” said Bullock. “They are still missing and we believe they may have had this planned in advanced.”
Bullock said it appears one of them snuck out the window of the home and the other boy left with him.
“They do have a history, but not a history of running away,” said Bullock. “Anyone with any information should call their local authorities. The boys are entered into MULES (Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System) as missing, so any local law enforcement agency will be able to run them in the system and find they are missing.”
Anyone with any information on the boys’ location is asked to contact the Farmington Police Department at 573-756-6686 or any local agency.
