James P. ‘Jim’ Beard, Jr.

BONNE TERRE — James P. “Jim” Beard, Jr. of Bonne Terre, Missouri, was born September 3, 1964, in Sweetwater, Texas, to James and Charlotte “Sue” (nee Wells) Beard and died April 2, 2018, at his home in Bonne Terre at the age of 53 years 6 months and 29 days.

Jim is survived by his wife, Frances “Fran” (nee Barton) Beard of Bonne Terre, Missouri (married April 26, 1985), three children, Wendy E. Beard of Bonne Terre, James P. (Tiffanie Elser) Beard, III of Bonne Terre, and Cynthia J. “Cyndi” Wilcox of Bonne Terre; nine grandchildren, Hayden, Daykota, Jacob, Ryan, Bentley, Hunter, James IV, Karsyn and Quynton; his parents, James and Sue Beard of Branson, Missouri; his sister, Christina (Joe) Logan of Branson, Missouri; and many other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jim devoted his life to family and was passionate about the work of the Boy Scouts of America – Greater St. Louis Chapter, along with Ozark Trails Pack #549. For many years he was an Oil Room Operator with Gilster Mary Lee food products in Perryville, Missouri.

Memorial visitation 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Chapel Hill Mortuary & St. Francois Memorial Park, 6776 Vo-Tech Road in Bonne Terre, Cremation followed by Private Interment at St. Francois Memorial Park.
