Don Phipps

U.S. Veteran Donald Eugene Phipps, 90, of Fredericktown, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Stockhoff Nursing Home. He was born May 10, 1927 at Saco, the son of Iva Byron and Trecia Underwood Phipps.

Mr. Phipps was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alonzo Delno Phipps.

Survivors include nieces Delmyra Montgomery of Annapolis, Maryland, Renee Cooper of Park Hills, and Kimberly Phipps of Fredericktown; two great nieces and one great nephew; two great great nieces and one great great nephew.

Mr. Phipps, a retired accountant, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith, the American Legion and Knights of Columbus.

The Rite of Christian Burial with Mass was celebrated by Father John Braun at St. Michael Church in Fredericktown, May 8, 2018. Interment was in the Christian Cemetery of Fredericktown, under the direction of Follis & Sons Funeral Home.
