Two injured in weekend crashes

Two crashes left two injured over the weekend.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 6:35 p.m. Saturday Donald W. Johnson, 30, of Ste. Genevieve, was traveling westbound on Route Y on his 2015 Harley Davidson when the motorcycle traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

According to the report, Johnson was wearing his safety device and received minor injuries. He was transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson via ambulance.

In a separate incident, at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, Bridgette L. Lee, 19, of Desloge, was driving southbound on Old Bonne Terre Road in her 2002 Ford Escape when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road to avoid two deer.

According to the report, she traveled through heavy brush and struck a utility pole.

Lee was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis via Air Evac with serious injuries. The Explorer had extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Lee was wearing her safety device.
