Richard Porzeinski Sr.

BONNE TERRE — Richard Charles Porzeinski Sr., 87, of Bonne Terre, passed away June 23, 2018, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born February 17, 1931, to the late John and Josephine (Rekosz) Porzeinski in St. Louis. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Arlene (Rose) Porzeinski and a son, Richard Charles Porzeinski Jr.

Richard was a retired sheet metal worker with the Local # 36, he was one of the many sheet metal workers that helped construct the St. Louis Arch. Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post # 6883, Eagles, and the Mineral Area Elks.

Richard is survived by one daughter, Linda Dotson, three sons, James Porzeinski, David Rose, and Steven Porzeinski; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda (Lawrence) Novac.

Visitation will be Wednesday June 27, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. There will be benefit for Richard on July 7, 2018, at the VFW Post 6883.
