Three injured in afternoon crash

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday in Leadwood.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:53 p.m. on July 3 on Highway 8 at West Exit Street.

Jeffrey D. Warren, 54, of Irondale, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala West on Highway 8. Carrie M. Radford, 46, of Leadwood, was also driving west on Highway 8 in a 2015 Kia Optima.

The patrol reports the Optima was stopped waiting to make a left turn, when the Impala failed to stop and struck the rear of the Optima.

Warren suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. A passenger in the Impala, Tonya J. Warren, 48, of Irondale, was seriously injured and was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital by Air Evac.

Radford suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.

Radford was wearing a seatbelt. Jeffrey Warren and Tonya Warren were not wearing their seatbelts, according to the patrol report. Both vehicles were listed as totaled.
