Farmington man killed in motorcycle crash

A Farmington man was killed in a motorcycle wreck in Ste. Genevieve County on Monday, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report states that Nicholas Courtney, 41, of Farmington, was driving a 2001 Harley Davidson Road King Classic southbound on Route O, south of Interstate 55 at about 3:31 p.m. when the accident occurred.

According to the report, Courtney failed to negotiate a curve to the left, traveled off the right side of the road into a ditch and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Courtney was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:56 p.m. by Ste. Genevieve County Coroner Eric Basler.
