Margaret “”Maggie”” (Wamser) Hahn

Margaret “Maggie” (Wamser) Hahn, 73, died 18 September 2018 following a long battle with numerous illnesses. She was born November 2, 1944, in Ironton, the daughter of Fern and Alford F. Wamser (Both Deceased).

Margaret graduated in 1962 from Fredericktown High School. She and husband Charles (Chuck) E. Hahn founded Hahn Equipment Company in 1971 to be the FLYGT Pump distributor for Southeast Texas. She continued to lead the company after Chuck’s death in 1996. The company will continue under the leadership of their sons.

Mrs. Hahn was an active member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church including teaching Sunday School and participating in numerous activities.

Survivors include son Charles E. Hahn III and former wife Amanda and grandsons Carson Edward Hahn and Cameron Ellis Hahn, son Gregory A. Hahn and wife Melisa and step-grandsons Caleb Scheffer and Kobi Glisson; brothers and sisters-in-law George and Dr. Rosella Wamser, Belleville, Alford and Mary Wamser, Plant City, Fla.; sister Debbie Lange, Farmington; nephew Steven F. Ruppel and wife Lisa Lange, Chicago; cousins James and Martha Venable, Phoenix, and John Summers, Chicago, and all her extended family which includes her employees at Hahn Equipment whom she respected and held in high esteem. Especially missing her is her beloved puppy, “Pippa.”

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the John Wesley United Methodist Church, 5830 Bermuda Dunes, Houston TX 77069. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Houston Human Society.
