West County to hold talent show Friday
If residents are looking for high-quality entertainment, then they should make plans now to attend West County’s Got Talent this Friday.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Cost to attend is $5. Children 5 and under are free.
The event takes place at 6 p.m. in West County High School’s gymnasium with the elementary’s Honor Choir students starting off the evening by singing the national anthem.
Everyone in attendance receives a ballot to vote for winners of each age division, including elementary, middle and high school. Division winners each receive $50 for first place, $40 for second place and $30 for third place.
After the last high school act, the ballots will be collected and tabulated. During this time, several groups will perform: West County Elementary’s Honor Choir; the middle school choir will sing “A Million Dreams” from the movie The Greatest Showman; high school swing choir will perform “Run to You” by Pentatonix and “Thriller” by Michael Jackson; and the high school jazz band will perform a few songs as well.
All proceeds from the event go to benefit West County Middle School students’ activities fund.
