Several injured in crash

Several area residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Monday at 5:20 a.m. on U.S. 67 in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Drew Abt, 23, of Cadet, was driving his 1998 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on U.S. 67 near Cash Lane, along with Jessica Woodson, 37, of Bonne Terre in her 2014 Nissan Sentra.

Abt failed to slow down, causing him to rear-end Woodson’s Sentra. Abt was not wearing his seat belt and was taken to Parkland Health Center in Farmington by St. Francois County Ambulance with minor injuries.

Woodson, along with her passengers, Ciara Woodson, 11, and Christopher Eagles, 34, all of Bonne Terre, were wearing their seat belts and were all taken by private conveyance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington with minor injuries.
