Gerald Prokopf

FARMINGTON — Gerald “Jerry” Prokopf, 81, of Farmington passed away October 4, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis. He was born January 12, 1937, in Fredericktown. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired St. Louis City Police Officer and member of the St. Louis City Police Officers Association. He was also a longtime member of the Farmington Elks and past Exalted Ruler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Fritz” and Nelly (Ray) Prokopf; son, Tim Prokopf; three sisters, Gertrude, Julia and Francis; one brother, Charles.

Jerry is survived by his son, Steve Jolly and wife Angela; three grandchildren, Louis Jolly, Abigail Jolly and Lyra Hanewinkel; three siblings, Mary Dugan and husband John, Paul Prokopf and Cecilia Deshaney; special friend and Steve’s mother, Betty Jolly.

Visitation will be Monday, October 8, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington, with an Elks service at 7 p.m. Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel with Deacon Mark Byington officiating.
