FFA Members Participate in Area Agribusiness Tour

On Sept. 27th, 30 Farmington FFA members had the opportunity to participate in an area Agribusiness tour.

Members toured the Pioneer Soybean Production Plant in New Madrid, Missouri. The plant is one of the biggest soybean production plants in the world. The members got to see how a soybean goes from the field to packaging.

Before they could even enter the facility, the members had to put on hard hats, gloves and fluorescent vests. Once in the facility the tour guides, whom were actual workers in the plant, led the members around to packaging stations and sorting stations, all the while giving very in depth information of the plant and all of its workings.
