Gillam named Student of the Month

Farmington Elks Lodge 1765 has announced that Clay Gillam has been named Bismarck High School Student of the Month for November.

The son of Brad and Sue Gillam, he has a 3.855 grade point average, which has kept on him on the teacher and principal honor rolls for a number of years.

Gillam was first selected as a student of the month in March 2015. He is in the National Honor Society and is listed on the UniTec Honor Roll. In addition, Gillam earned first place in the 2015 4-H Skeet Shoot; and first and second place in the Steer Rate of Gain of the St. Francois County Fair. He has served as 4-H Club president since 2014 and has been a member since the age of 5. Gillam is also a member of the Leadbelt Gun Club.

He plans to continue his education in the electrical field. Gillam will receive $100 for college expenses and compete for the Farmington Elks “Student of the Year” to be awarded on May 5.
