Annual Marquand-Zion History Day
Twenty students from the Marquand-Zion School District participated in the annual History Day competition at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau on March 19.
Three middle school students and 17 high school students competed against 179 other participants for the right to advance to the State History Day competition in Columbia.
Ninth grade students, Chaley Dry, and Kylie Hardesty, finished second in the Senior Group exhibit division and Junior Jack Lin Starkey, finished second in the Senior Individual exhibit division. Both exhibits will advance to Columbia, for the State History Day Competition April 27, on the campus of the University of Missouri.
Marquand-Zion history teacher is Doug Berry.
