Soccer Cats stay improve to 3-0
The Fredericktown High Soccer season opened the 2019 season with three straight victories.
The Cats won 4-0 at North County, March 18. Alivia Buxton scored three times for FHS. Kylee Bastie had one goal. Assists went to Arika Buxton, Mallory Mathes and Kayleigh Slinkard. Kyndal Dodd made two saves in recording the shutout.
March 19, the Cats topped Saxony Lutheran, 5-1, here. Alivia Buxton recorded another three goals, while Kayleigh Slinkard scored twice. Alivia Buxton had two assists, Arika Buxton had two, and Mallory Mathes had one assist. Dodd made six assists.
The Cats third victory was 9-0 shutout at De Soto, March 21. Abby Parson and Alivia Buxton each scored three times. Arika Buxton, Alayna Buxton, and Kayleigh Slinkard scored one goal each. Mallory Mathes and Alayna Buxton each had two assists. Arika Buxton and Loren Kinkead each had one assist. The Cats had 55 shots in the match, including 35 on goal.
The Cats play Wednesday at Windsor and Thursday at Perryville.
