DESLOGE – Calvin Miner, age 91, of Farmington, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at his residence. Calvin was born on Tuesday, March 24, 1931, in Bonne Terre, to the late Albert and Edith Mae (Asher) Miner.
Calvin proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW in Farmington. He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps. He aspired to be a gardener. He loved music and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Edith Mae (Asher) Miner; his wife of 64 years, Florine Marie (Pratte) Miner; a daughter-in-infancy, Linda; and by nine siblings.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Gruhala; two grandchildren, Samantha (Eric) Currington, Christin (Chris) Marler; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Currington, Mason Currington, Ian Marler, Taylor Marler, Kambria Currington; and a sister, Donna Martin.
Visitation will be held at C.Z Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Reverend Allan Berry will be officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to the United MSD Foundation.
