Gary Wayne White

DOE RUN – Gary Wayne White, of Doe Run, Missouri, passed away on December 6, 2022, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 76 years. He was born on July 22, 1946, in Ironton, Missouri, to the late Lloyd Otto White Jr. and June (Hawk) Saltz. He is also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dale and Rosalie Moser and a nephew, Scott Kelly.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Peggy L. White of Doe Run, Missouri and his son, Barry W. White of Leadington, Missouri. Also surviving are his sister, Beverly (Benton) Kelly of Dallas, Texas, brothers, Michael (Christine) White of Doe Run, Missouri, Darrel “Woody” White of Libertyville, Missouri, and Michael (Jo) Skidmore of Doe Run, Missouri, grandchildren, Chloe, Alexa, and Lance White of Michigan, great grandsons, Milo and Elias, along with nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Gary liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed reading. There was a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved all his family.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by John Wecker.
