Della ‘June’ Wiles
FARMINGTON – Della “June” Wiles, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2023, at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 92. She was born on April 27, 1931, in Doe Run, Missouri, to the late George and Mary (Burch) Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Connely, Betty Whitener, George Watkins, Forrest Watkins, and Ralph McLeod.
June is survived by her husband of 72 years, Jack Wiles, her sons, Jack Wiles of Farmington, and Timothy Wiles (Melissa) of Farmington, her grandchildren, Jeromy Wiles, Emily Wiles, Dylan Wiles, and Katie Pogue, her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Junipher, Oliver, and Isabella, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
June formerly worked as a cook for the Farmington and Busiek School Districts. She was a longtime member of First Steps Church of God in Farmington where she played piano, taught Sunday school, prepared meals, and previously served on the board. She was a very giving person who loved helping others. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening, and loved children, especially her own grandkids who she spoiled. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 7 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel officiated by Pastor Donna Wells-Bevels.
