Ramona ‘Mona’ D. Leuckel

PERRYVILLE, Mo. – Ramona “Mona” D. Leuckel, 56, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Eminence, Missouri. She was born December 21, 1966 in Fredericktown, Missouri, to James “Sam” Stanton and Sylvia Alene (Stephens) DeBlois.

Mona and Carl “Topper” Leuckel Jr. were married September 10, 2011, at Cedar Fork Church in Perry County. Mona was a homemaker and member of AMVETS Post #94 Auxiliary, River Hills Eagles Lodge #4034, Perryville Elks Lodge #2701, and Little Saline Sportsman Club. Mona loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with their dog Blackster.

Survivors include her step-daughter, Tammy (Patrick) Drury of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; step-son, Brad (Kelly Staggs) Leuckel of Perryville, Missouri; brother, Steve (Janice M.) Mauk of Farmington, Missouri; two sisters, Marqueta Bryson of Fredericktown, Missouri, and Lisa DeBlois of St. Louis, Missouri; four step-grandchildren, Lacey Drury, Clayton Drury, Caleb Staggs, Drew Leuckel; mother-in-law, June Leuckel of Perryville, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kevin DeBlois; and father-in-law, Carl “Corky” Leuckel.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation resumes 8 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday August 9, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cedar Fork Cemetery in Perry County.
