FESTUS – Wilma Evelyn Redecker, age 88, of Park Hills, Missouri, passed away Sunday August 6, 2023 at her home. She was born August 16, 1934, in Hahn, Missouri, the daughter of the late Clara M. (nee Fullbright) and Joseph Chester Campbell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Daniel Carl Redecker; sister Vergie Mae (the late Elzie “Jake”) Cobb; brothers Jack Davenport and Glendel Campbell; and a grandson Jeffery Loughary.
She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn (Alvis) Loughary of Desloge, Missouri; sons, Walter J. (the late Theresa) Redecker of Park Hills, and Daniel E. (Cindy) Redecker of Altenburg, Missouri; grandsons, Jason (Kala) Loughary, Jon (Jessica) Loughary, Adam (Danielle) Redecker, Alex (Sara) Redecker, Aaron (Amy) Redecker, and Nathan Redecker; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She loved rural life, raising plants, canning her produce and cooking. A devout Christian, she was always active with church activities and loved socializing and playing games with family and friends. She loved everyone around her, and she will be deeply missed.
Visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, Missouri, officiated by Pastor Stan Martin of Freedom Tabernacle in Park Hills. Interment in Zion Methodist Cemetery in Mapaville, Missouri. Memorials in Wilma’s memory are preferred to the School of The Ozarks in Hollister, Missouri.
