Spartan FC reaches 3v3 nationals
BRANSON, Mo. – A collection of local 8-year-old soccer players has secured a berth in the Bownet 3v3 national tournament, scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend in Foley, Ala.
Spartan FC has posted an 8-2-1 record over the span of two tournaments in St. Louis and Branson, and won the latter regional event last weekend to clinch the national invitation.
Team members are Jacob Bono (Farmington), Baer Dunn (North County), Knox Fitzwater (Farmington), Archie Stroup (Farmington), Gwen Mosier (Farmington) and Will Baer (St. Louis). They are coached by Stephen Mosier.

Spartan FC, part of the 2015 age division, is currently ranked 13th in the nation among more than 200 teams, and has achieved a No. 2 ranking within Missouri.
