Mineral Area men push unbeaten streak to four

PARK HILLS – Oliver Brennan scored his first goal of the season, and the Mineral Area men’s soccer team remained unbeaten on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Copiah-Lincoln.

Chalon Domian added an insurance tally during the 81st minute on a pass from Shay Carey, and Orran Mushet produced a team-high three shots for the Cardinals.

Josh Wilson made three saves to earn his second shutout in four starts.

Brennan made it 1-0 unassisted in the 14th minute, and Mineral Area (3-0-1) outshot the visitors 18-8.

The Cardinals were assessed four yellow cards, and committed 15 fouls while drawing just five. East Central visits MAC on Wednesday for a Region 16 match.
