The Fredericktown High School football team lost 14-0, Friday, at Herculaneum.
The Fredericktown defense kept the game close with several stops throughout the game. The Cats got the opening kickoff but were unable to move the ball on their first drive of the game. After a Carter Cheaney punt flipped the field, Herculaneum started at its own 35. The home team went 37 yards to the FHS 28-yard line before Fredericktown made a big stop on fourth down.
The Fredericktown offense had a big chance following a bad snap on Herculaneum punt. The Cats started at the 20 yard line, but was stopped on fourth and five at the 15.
