Chad Conway, a West County graduate and organizer of the event, said, “All the proceeds will go to the shop so they can buy new tools and other things they need. We’re bringing the car show back. The last one was about 10 years ago. We hope to have a good turnout.”

While the car show benefits the shop classes this year, in future years, the proceeds of the show will go to address the needs of other departments in the district.

Conway also pointed out that four of the employees of American Metal Collision and Restoration, located in Mineral Point, are West County graduates.

Trophies for this event are handmade and designed from car parts by American Metal Collision and Restoration.

Registration for the event will be from 9 a.m.-noon, with judging taking place from noon-2 p.m.

Awards will be announced at 3 p.m., as well as the winner of the 50/50 drawing.

Concessions will be available and will be sold by various school organizations, which will keep the proceeds from their sales.
