Fallert named Parkland Area Male Athlete of the Week

The Valle Catholic High School football team improved to 3-1 in 2023 with a 63-0 victory over Potosi on Sept. 15 in Ste. Genevieve.

Warriors senior quarterback Grant Fallert completed 10 of 11 passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball three times for 105 yards and three more scores.

That is why he was chosen as the Parkland Area Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 16.

“Grant is a successful football player because he has worked very hard to make himself a great athlete and is a wonderful teammate,” Warriors’ football coach Judd Naeger said. “He is very tough, yet he is very even keeled and doesn’t let me bother him.”

Fallert said he has been playing football since seventh grade.

“I like being out on the football field with my friends and family competing in front of so many relatives that came before us,” he said.

Fallert also plays baseball at Valle.

He said he plans to attend college after graduation.
